A letter from Coach Steve

For the last 2 years we have hosted a ROPES Course.   This course is for children stepping into young adulthood. Ages 12 through 17. The youth must be accompanied by one guardian. They’re only allowed 10 pounds of gear. And they must do everything on their own. On day 1, we instruct them on how to survive. The rest of the trip, they must care for themselves. Paddle their own kayaks for a 4 day river trip. Youth will learn how to carry on and provide for themselves while facing adversity. They learn how to process emotions and frustration on their own.  The Guardian is only there as a safety precaution. The last 2 Ropes courses were very successful and we look forward to this year’s. If you have or know of a use that could benefit from this course, please make sure to reach out to us.

This year we are also hosting the Survival Race for Heros again. This is a 1 or 2 day hike, kayak and Survival challenge to benefit www.10CAN.us

This Organization is near and dear to my heart. I have volunteered with them for many years.  This year, the race will be held on the Silver River.  If you’re interested or want more details,  let me know.

Sincerely, Coach Steve at North Florida Survival and Adventure.
